Masareefi · iOS

Terms of Use

Effective date: June 1, 2026

In plain English

Masareefi is free to use. Masareefi Premium is an optional paid upgrade — a monthly or yearly auto-renewing subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically through your Apple Account unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. The app is a personal tracking tool, not financial advice.

1. Acceptance of terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and the developer of Masareefi ("we", "us"), a personal expense-tracker application for iOS. By downloading, installing, or using Masareefi, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. License to use the app

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Masareefi on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service and the Apple standard EULA referenced below. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute the app except as allowed by applicable law.

3. Masareefi Premium

The core app is free. Masareefi Premium is an optional upgrade that unlocks additional features, which may include: advanced reports and PDF export, recurring transactions, bills, debts and split bills, savings goals, receipt scanning, home-screen widgets, multi-currency, themes, and unlimited wallets. The specific set of Premium features may change over time.

Premium is offered as:

Prices are shown in the app in your local currency before you purchase and may vary by region. We may change prices for new purchases; changes never affect a lifetime purchase you already own, and any change to an active subscription price is handled according to Apple's rules (including, where required, your explicit consent).

4. Subscriptions & auto-renewal

Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.

You can manage and cancel subscriptions at any time in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your Apple device, or via apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. All billing, renewals, and payment methods are managed by Apple — we do not process or store your payment details.

5. Free trial

If an introductory free trial is offered (for example, on the annual plan), the trial converts to a paid subscription automatically at the end of the trial period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.

6. Lifetime purchase

The lifetime option is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase that unlocks Premium features for as long as the app remains available and compatible with your device and operating system. It is tied to your Apple Account and can be restored on your devices using Restore Purchases. "Lifetime" refers to the lifetime of the app and product, not a guarantee of perpetual operation of any third-party service.

7. Existing users

As a thank-you to early users, anyone who installed Masareefi before the version that introduced Premium retains access to the previously available features at no charge, without a subscription. This is provided as a courtesy and does not create an obligation to provide future features free of charge.

8. Cancellation & refunds

You may cancel a subscription at any time; cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the current paid period (you keep access until then). Refunds are handled solely by Apple in accordance with the App Store Terms of Service. We cannot grant refunds directly. To request one, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Masareefi to:

10. Disclaimer — not financial advice

Masareefi is a personal record-keeping and budgeting tool. It does not provide financial, investment, tax, accounting, or legal advice, and nothing in the app should be relied upon as such. You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter and for your own financial decisions.

The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) Masareefi. Because your data is stored on your device and in your own iCloud, you are responsible for maintaining backups (for example, via the in-app CSV export).

12. Privacy

Your use of Masareefi is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what limited data is involved (including how in-app purchases are processed by Apple and our subscription provider). Please review it.

13. Apple standard EULA

Unless a separate written agreement applies, the app is licensed to you under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA), which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Where these Terms and Apple's standard EULA conflict, the terms more protective of you as a consumer apply to the extent required by law. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content and has no obligation to provide support for it.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted at this same URL with a new effective date, and material changes affecting paid features will be noted in the app's App Store release notes.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at the developer's place of residence, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, except where mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence provide otherwise. Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory consumer rights.
